27 July 2020 Priya Vaidya 926 Case Updates Re D (A Child) (Appeal out of time) [2020] EWHC 1167 (Fam), 2020 WL 02528397 byPriya Vaidya The case: On 15 November 2018 Mr K ("the father") issued a notice of appeal against the decision of the District Judge dated 28 May 2015. The District Judge made a finding that the father had sexually abused his daughter, the child, D, born in 2009. The Judge fundamentally erred in relying on any of the evidence of Dr G (child psychologist) rendering his findings from the fact-finding hearing of the 27 to 29 May 2015 unsafe and unreliable.
