06 October 2020 Priya Vaidya 903 Case Updates GFH Capital Ltd v Haigh [2020] 7 WLUK 405 byPriya Vaidya The case: The applicant (H) applied to vary an order for disclosure made against him following the grant of summary judgment to the respondent. In support of the application he provided medical reports in respect of a road traffic accident that he said he had been involved in in March 2020, a psychiatrist's letter that he was not in a state to give evidence or engage in legal work, a letter from his GP stating that he was receiving treatment for mental health problems, a fitness for work statement that he was signed off work for three months suffering from PTSD and a therapist's letter that he was not fit to appear in court. He subsequently alleged that his health had further deteriorated since making the application, but did not adduce any further evidence. He did not attend the hearing.
